Epoxy Cloud Iron Intermediate Paint (double)
1.
Product characteristics.
The paint is made of epoxy resin, mica iron oxide, antirust pigment and solvent modulation, and epoxy curing agent is added according to the proportion when using. The paint has excellent antirust performance, excellent water resistance, adhesion toughness.
2.
Usage instructions.
(1) Uses.
The paint is widely used as an intermediate coating for metal protection of ships, containers, ports and terminals, offshore platforms, bridges, electromechanical products, petroleum and chemical industry, etc.
(2) Construction requirements.
Suggested painting inversion: one airless spraying, 80-100μm dry film, brushing or roller coating 2-3 coats.
The former supporting primer: epoxy zinc-rich paint, inorganic zinc silicate antirust paint, epoxy zinc phosphate antirust paint and other epoxy antirust paint. Or direct coating on steel surface with rust removal quality up to Sa2.5 grade, or on aluminum alloy surface after brushing.
Post-coating paint: polyurethane topcoat, chlorinated rubber topcoat, acrylic topcoat, epoxy topcoat, epoxy asphalt antirust paint, alkyd topcoat, fluorocarbon topcoat, etc.
Surface treatment: Steel coated with zinc-rich primer: Remove all oil, debris and zinc salts.
Galvanized steel: sanded to remove all oil, debris and zinc salts by wind or electric elastic grinding wheel blades; if used for underwater parts, surface treatment must be carried out by sweeping sandblasting.
Steel: sandblasted to Sa2.5 grade
Steel coated with workshop primer: paint damage, rust and white embroidery on primer containing zinc powder are subjected to secondary rust removal, white embroidery is removed and sanded to St3 level.
Construction conditions: The temperature of the substrate must be at least 3℃ above the dew point temperature. When the outdoor construction temperature is lower than 0℃, the reaction of epoxy and curing agent will stop, so it is not suitable for construction. Relative humidity is not more than 85%.
3.
Caution.
The drying and curing time of epoxy rich iron paint will be shortened with the increase of temperature. The temperature between 0-10℃ can be constructed, but the curing speed is very slow. During the drying and curing period of epoxy rich zinc paint, sufficient ventilation is needed.
When the surface of the paint film is not chalked or contaminated by other substances, there is generally no limit to the maximum painting interval. However, the best interlayer adhesion is obtained when the next paint is applied before the film is fully cured. If the film of epoxy iron paint is exposed to the atmosphere for a long time before applying the next paint, special attention should be paid to the cleanliness of the surface of the film and the removal of the chalking layer by sanding in order to obtain good adhesion.
If the thickness of the paint film is too thick in the painting, the film will have a smooth surface. Before the construction of the next top coat, sandpaper should be used for brushing to increase the adhesion between the layers of the paint film.
