Can it be waterproof in rainy days?

If you want to be waterproof, you must pay attention. It is generally not recommended to be waterproof in rainy days!

There are two kinds of waterproof materials now: one is waterproof coating, and the other is waterproof coiled material. After the waterproof coating is painted, it takes some time to completely dry. If it is outdoors, the rain will directly wash away and destroy the waterproof layer. If indoors, the weather is wet in rainy days and the air humidity is high, the waterproof coating needs longer time to dry, which is not conducive to film formation and crystallization. Waterproof coiled materials also need some cold oil and other materials to assist in sticking when they are laid, and these also need time to dry.

Qilu waterproof coatings are divided into: synthetic polymers (spraying quick-setting rubber asphalt waterproof coatings), oily ones (polyurethane waterproof coatings), water-based ones (JS polymer cement waterproof coatings), rigid ones (cement-based permeable crystallization waterproof coatings) and asphalt ones (uncured rubber asphalt waterproof coatings).

Qilu waterproofing membrane is divided into modified asphalt waterproofing membrane (hot melt membrane, self-adhesive membrane) and synthetic polymer waterproofing membrane (rubber, resin). It has excellent characteristics such as water tightness, good atmospheric stability, good temperature stability, lasting performance, certain mechanical properties, good construction and less pollution.

In addition, which area of home improvement should be waterproof?

 1. Toilet

We usually use more water in the bathroom. If it is not waterproof, water on the ground will penetrate into the wall, which will leak downward and cause unnecessary trouble.

 2. Kitchen

The kitchen is the second key point of waterproofing. It is generally recommended that the kitchen floor and wall be 300mm high and the wall next to the sink be 1.5m waterproof.

 3. Balcony

Balcony, especially the unsealed balcony, should be waterproof to avoid seeping water. Of course, if your balcony is sealed and there is no rain, but you usually hang some clothes, it is recommended to be waterproof.

 4. Expose yourself

Such as balconies, terraces, rooftops, etc., because they are exposed outdoors and have been eroded by rain and snow for a long time, they must also be effectively waterproof.

5, moistureproof surface

Usually refers to the floor and wall of a house. When the house is decorated, the wall is generally not dry and contains certain moisture, and there are often new wall faces or new cement mortar, especially wood floors, wooden wall lines and door frames.

Precautions:

1, the kitchen must leave drainage floor drain, in case of water pipe burst and triangle valve damage caused by floods, to avoid greater losses.

 2. If you live on the first floor and don't have a basement, it is suggested that the whole house should be waterproof on the ground, with waterproof paint and moisture-proof film on the ground.

 3. If the bathroom is reconstructed, it is suggested that the self-built wall should be waterproof to the top; It is best to use ceramsite and coal ash to backfill the bathroom, instead of construction waste and soil. The former is light in weight and good in water absorption. After the waterproof construction is completed, all the sewers in the bathroom should be blocked and water injection test should be carried out. After 24 hours, if there is no leakage on the walls and floors around the bathroom, it means that the waterproof quality of the bathroom is very good. On the contrary, it is necessary to find out the leakage point and carry out maintenance.
